The audio file was created on Fruity Loops in (about) 2006. The whole piece consists of approximately 8 different loops with each loop being a max of 2 bars in length. Overall it is very simple, and with layering and looping, a tune was created.
The image above is of Girrawaa Creative Work Centre, Bathurst, NSW. The building was designed by Merrima Design (Principal deisnger: Dillon Kombumerri), the Indigenous Design Unit of the Government Architect's Office, NSW Department of Commerce. The building is located next to Bathurst Correctional Centre, and offers cultural and educational workshops designed specifically for Indigenous inmates, which was part of a recommendation from the Royal Commision into Aboriginal Deaths in Custody. Inmates had an opportunity to submit a design for the building, and the winning design was of a building in the shape of a goanna, a Wiradjuri animal totem. The Centre has been created to have references to the goanna in several design aspects including the exterior shape, interior design, colour and landscaping. This photo was taken mid-morning, and captures the colour of grass. Colours and textures in nature are beautiful, and I particularly like the colours of the natural environment at dawn, sunrise, sunset and dusk as light from the sun is changing.
